About the group

• OUR NAME Granger was the name given to certain lands that were separated off from the Livingston Manor roughly 200 years ago. These lands later became the towns of Taghkanic and Copake.



• ORGANIZATION The Granger Group (a/k/a "The Grangers") is an unincorporated association.



• GEOGRAPHICAL REACH Currently, the group is made up of voters, residents and taxpayers in the Town of Taghkanic, located in Columbia County, part of New York State's historic Hudson Valley.



• COUNSEL The group is represented by the legal firm of Grant & Lyons, which has offices in Rhinebeck (NY) and Manhattan.
